Panaitolikos Football Stadium
PANAITOLIKOS FC
The Panaitolikos Stadium (Panaitolikos FC) is the physical headquarters of the Pan-Aetolian Gymnastic and Educational Club football team. It was built in 1930, and some restorations were made in 2005. In 2011, as the team was promoted to the Super League, the architectural company Kapsalis undertook the reconstruction of the stadium and its expansion on its southern side.
The works started in May 2011 and were completed very quickly, in just 84 days. The overall reconstruction project for the Stadium was planned and implemented in two design and construction phases.
In the first phase of work:
- A new terrace (1,400 seats) was constructed on the south side of the stadium.
- Plastic seats were installed.
- Storage spaces were created separately at each gate. PPC substation areas and a control room for the electric lighting of the entire stadium were also built.
- The electric lighting was upgraded to UEFA standards.
- New turf was laid and retaining walls were constructed
- All areas of the stadium were completely renovated, including canteens, VIP room, WCs.
In the second phase, the planning for the installation of the canopy on the south side was successfully completed, as were the relevant study and design.
